한국 Surgical Tool – Clean Room Assembly
A major manufacturer of surgical tools required a means to automatically install a miniature pin. Miniature pins (i.e. less than ø2 mm OD and 10 mm in length) are very difficult to manipulate by hand. In order to meet the specific clean room process specifications, a standard SPIROL Pin Insertion machine was reconfigured to incorporate acceptable materials, finishes, and operator interface that resulted in a functional “work station” for their assembly environment. Inert (300 series) stainless steel, and Delrin® TM polymer was used for all machine components that came in direct contact with the product. Electro-less nickel plating and white epoxy paint were employed in all other non-contact areas. An Allen-Bradley® Touch Screen HMI was integrated in place of conventional buttons and switches, and an ergonomic adjustable table was provided to mount all machine components and to accommodate operator comfort.
